COURSE FOR PROMISING POLITICIANS 2014 KICKS OFF IN MONTENEGRO!

Fondacija Friedrich Ebert, Evropski forum za demokratiju i solidarnost i fondacija Max van der Stoel organizovali su u Bečićima od 19. do 22. juna prvi seminar u okviru novog ciklusa programa “Course for Promising Politicians”.
Between 19 and 22 of June Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Belgrade office, European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity and Foundation Max van der Stoel (FMS) organised the first seminar of the 2014 Course for Promising Politicians.
Tokom intenzivnog trodnevnog seminara učesnici su imali priliku da unaprede svoje znanje iz oblasti političkih teorija, ideja, principa i vrednosti. Program su vodili iskusni treneri fondacije Max van der Stoel Souad Houli i Michiel Emmelkamp i Karolina Leakovic, medjunarodna sekretarka Socijaldemokratske partije Hrvatske i saradnica političke akademije “Novo društvo” iz Zagreba. Poslednjeg dana seminara učesnici su o aktuelnoj političkoj situaciji u Crnoj Gori razgovarali sa Mirkom Stanićem, portparolom Socijaldemokratske partije Crne Gore i Daliborkom Uljarević, izvršnom direktorkom Centra za gradjansko obrazovanje iz Podgorice.Program „Course for Promising politicians“ se sastoji od tri intenzivna seminara tokom kojih se učesnici upoznaju sa različitim aspektima političkog liderstva i upravljanja kao i komunikacijskim vestinama. Od 2003. godine ova politička akademija je okupila više od dve stotine mladih političara i političarki socijaldemokratskih partija regiona Zapadnog Balkana koji žele da preuzmu aktivnu ulogu u kreiranju budućnosti svojih zemalja.
The event took place in Bečići, Montenegro, and focused on ideology and policies. FMS trainers Souad Haouli and Michiel Emmelkamp, Novo društvo (Croatia) trainer and SDP international secretary Karolina Leaković conducted the training. On the last day of the seminar guest speakers from Montenegro, Daliborka Uljarević (Executive Director of the Centre for Civil Education) and Mirko Stanić (spokesperson of the Social Democratic Party) openly discussed the challenges in Montenegro which led to a heated debate with the participants.Since 2003 the seminar has been organized three times annually and the course includes seminars on political ideology, media and communications skills and EU integration. The aim of the course is to introduce young promising politicians from South East Europe to the various aspects of political leadership, governance and the dynamics and structures of party policies. In addition, the organisers aim to create a network among young and politically active persons and to improve their knowledge on the political developments in the countries in the region.
